BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL

Bringing the light of awareness and the warmth of compassion in contact with the density of holding patterns in the body is an integral part of healing.  It is often the body, emotion, and feeling realms that store the most hidden and unresolved suffering, allowing the more functional parts of us to “carry on”.  Within the context of psychotherapy or spiritual mentorship, we may decide together to use touch as an adjunct to our work. Biodynamic craniosacral therapy is a non-invasive, gentle, and effective form of bodywork which helps to resolve protective patterns that have become painful or self-limiting. My contact is safe, respectful, and clients are always fully clothed.

When the right resources are not available, patterns of trauma, anxiety, and overwhelming emotional issues can become stored in the body. Over time, these places may feel stagnant, rigid, numb, or painful. With gentle contact and a spacious, yet deeply held presence, clients are supported to settle within themselves. As the body settles, it begins to regain its natural fluidity. From fluidity, stillness can arise and inertial patterns are supported to release and let go.

Body and mind are mirrors of one another. As the body becomes more fluid and free, so too the mind can regain its natural expansiveness, open to possibilities that might have previously been unavailable.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy may be appropriate if you wish to:

  • Relax/settle an over-active nervous system

  • Heal from anxiety, trauma and habitual stress patterns

  • Deepen a bodily felt sense awareness

  • Restore an inner sense of fluidity

  • Increase coherence between body, psyche, mind and spirit

  • Experience stillness in a dynamic and embodied way

My training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy began with Charles Ridley’s Dynamic Stillness School from 2006-2010, and completed with Gary Peterson’s STAR Institute (Settling Touch And Resource) 700 hour Foundation Training from 2013-2017.
